[dokuwiki] html prepends <p>

Hi all!
I am using the latest dokuwiki stable, doing some template work.
Each time when I add <html>[some or none content]</html> to a page an
empty <p> </p> gets prepended to the beginning of the content output.
Was looking through the parser includes - but have no clue :)
Does someone have a hint how to get rid of it?
