Hi,

I experience a strange install problem related to the default template in 2006 versions of dokuwiki (latest one: 2006-03-09). Whatever I do, the default template is not used, and the rendering of the page is standard HTML with no use of CSS. My permissions seem to be ok, and other templates I tried were working. Interestingly, if I use the "default" template from dokuwiki-2005-09-22), it renders almost correctly (buttons on the top are misaligned, but the CSS is used).

If anything shows up the template is being used - only the template outputs html. If its not styled then there is an issue with the style sheet generation. 2005-xx Dokuwiki used a fixed CSS whereas 2006-03-xx uses a dynamically generated CSS.

Can you try a recent version of the sidebar template (for 2006-03-xx releases). It essentially uses the same files as the default template with a couple of additions and changes for the sidebar.

If it works, I'd try a fresh copy of the default template files ... perhaps something became corrupted during your installation.

If it doesn't work, things are trickier. Do you have a php error log? Its sounds like the css generator is not completing for some reason. The error log will give more information regarding the cause.

Cheers,

Chris
