I'll explain why i would like that file...

Everytime i set up a new wiki, I forget the changes.log and everytime i see it on my first usage of the wiki. And as you all mentioned before, new users of dokuwiki could leave, if they have to do too much handlings to install it. A second reason why i think it can't be a problem, is because when you create a changes.log, it is just an empty file. So when you put it in the (clean) wiki, it doesn't need content, and those upgrading their wiki, know how they have to do that and are smart enough to overwrite their changes.log (only i forget it >:o )

Has someone the same opinion?
