[dokuwiki] categories + todo lists

is there a way to do categories in dokuwiki? namespaces does this in a
hierarchical kind of way, but i want cross-branch tagging.
i am looking also for a way to gather up items tagged as "todo" into
task lists for people - are there any plug-ins or script starting points
for this?
