[dokuwiki] Updating the wiki from code

 Is there a way to update wiki pages from code so that the wiki page
subscribers get notified? I know I can just change blah.txt on the
server and that'll update the page (though won't that confuse the
history files?) but I want to make all the various "save" stuff that
DokuWiki does happen as well.

 Presumably I could do this by making an appropriate HTTP POST call from
code, but is there any easier way?
