Okay I added some more error handling, you should now get an alert box with some helpful error message. BTW. I believe the available Win32 Version of aspell (0.50) is not sufficient as it does not have UTF-8 support. But first things first :-) Get your version running then try to contact the aspell author for an updated binary or compile it your self ;-) Andi
