Is it a Javascript reliability thing you're concerned with btw?
That means, unless the original code is changed heavily, it is only possible to add new methods that can have the same string for both. So, any methods including e.g. images, are not appropriate. :-/
Hmm, just a thought, how about an authentication process to be able to see email addresses-- like users can see them, but for guests a link would click through to a CAPTCHA, then when authenticated, email addresses would be properly exposed.
What ideas do you have though?
I don't know. That's why I asked the mailinglist ... ;-)
But implementing something more complicated or using JavaScript for it could make sense with a plugin ...
Which is why I had originally asked if this was actually doable as a plugin, or if this needed to be in the codebase itself.
Didn't see an answer, but this was leading into , "are you working on a plugin already? if so I could collaborate with you on it" :-)
So, are you? :-)
