Hi,

I agree with you that a full page move plugin isn't that easy. And the idea of a simple syntax plugin is seductive...

Page_redirector and goto seems to be active.
However a pagemove plugins also exists and seems to be active/popular therefore tested and approved. I'm taking contact with it's developer to see if he thinks the plugin is "production proof"...

Yes it would be great. I have moved/renamed some pages on my wiki a while ago, and for sometime the users that would arrive to the wiki by a page that I moved would see a " this page does not exists" warning. If the users could see a "this page have been moved to.." that would make then happier.

I'd go with one of the redirect plugins, page_redirector or goto. Page moving isn't anywhere near as simple to implement as it is to say.
