Any news on this? Did others experience the same problem? Should I create a
bugreport? Also, sorry for top-posting but yahoo has poor (as in none) support
for bottom posting.

Subject: [dokuwiki] Problems with mail newline?
Hello all.
I've been having a problem with the last release andDokuWiki and also the
current RC. With the default configuration mySMTP server refuses to deliver the
mails, pointing me to a page whereit describes that the "newline" in mails
means "\x0d\x0a", whereas bydefault in DokuWiki the newline is defined as "\n".
Some more technicaldetails:
- the dokuwiki is running on Windows with a recentversion of Apache and PHP
(the exact versions of both Apache and PHPhave changed during testing, but I
always was able to reproduce theproblem)
- the SMTP server is qmail running un linux
My lineof reasoning is that AFAIK most text based network protocols (HTTP,mail,
etc) define "newline" exactly as the byte sequence "\x0d\x0a",whereas "\n" is
dependent on the platform. Given this, wouldn't it bebetter if the mailer part
of dokuwiki would define the "mail newline"as "\x0d\x0a" (leaving no room for
interpretation by the languageimplementors)?
