I've finally sorted it out, turned out to be that as soon as I edited any
.conf such as for acronyms or plugins, it wasn't saved in UTF-8, and broke
the wiki. I now have downloaded the Crimson Editor, resaved the conf files
to UTF-8, uploaded, and it magically works again.

Might be a good idea to mention this in the installation instructions or
troubleshooting part, as I only per chance (out of desperation) read down
through the *Upgrade* instructions to find this bit of info.

Hi Leah,

The instructions at splitbrain.org are part of a public wiki, contributed by all those who use Dokuwiki. The idea being that those who come across an issue, like you have, update the wiki to reflect their experience.
