Hi All, I'm very pleased to be able to support Dokuwiki and host the Hackfest in London on the weekend of 29Jun - 01Jul. Southeastern are one of the largest UK train operating companies and we are a big user of DokuWiki, mainly for document management. Chris and Anika have been helping us out recently. We have offices in central London which we can use for this occasion, located in Blackfriars on the South Bank. Southwark tube station is less than a minute away, Tate Modern about three minutes, St Pauls and the London Eye about ten minutes, with lots of coffee shops and pubs close by. We have booked out our entire ground floor meeting suite which is self contained. Five rooms and lounge area, the largest room will hold twelve reasonably comfortably, if we have more then we can put chairs in the lounge area for a bigger gathering, the five meeting rooms can be used for break out space. Tea and Coffee etc will be available on free vend all day. We'll provide lunch on Friday (sandwich buffet) and on Saturday and Sunday if required. The building is secure so people will need to book-in at reception, but this is just normal office stuff. The only problem I have is organising Broadband, our network will not allow you to connect and even if it did, web-marshal would prevent access to anything useful. I will try and get a temporary broadband line installed, but if I fail, people will need to rely on their own 3G connections. That said 3, Orange and Vodafone all work very well in the location, so hopefully this will not be a problem. I am moderately hopeful I can get a broadband line up and running for the weekend, but bring 3G just in case. I can provide more info nearer the time, or in response to questions on here, please ask if I can be of help. It would be helpful from my point of view to know what time we expect to be up and running on Friday and what time we intend to finish on Sunday, so we can plan around that.
