Yann,
AFAIK it is possible. Just install DokuWiki in the directory you want it -
in this case dokuwiki directly under your document root - and enter
http://<youraddresshere>/dokuwiki/doku.php/en:books. I did it like this and
it caused no problems. Later you may switch your document root to this
dokuwiki directory ;-)
This will not work when you use address rewriting for your document root
now - or you create some expression that will not rewrite addresses when
/dokuwiki is envolved...
