I played around with the spellchecker on the playground <http://wiki.splitbrain.org/wiki:playground> (go right to the bottom) using both Firefox and Safari on Mac OS X.4 (Tiger). Firefox is fine, Safari screws up... ...results in the following after clicking 'check spelling' in Safari: Didier Julia au centre des interrogations Pour Serge July, directeur de function (whole, match1) { return String.fromCharCode(+match1); }Libfunction (whole, match1) { return String.fromCharCode(+match1); }rationfunction (whole, match1) { return String.fromCharCode(+match1); }, le sulfureux dfunction (whole, match1) { return String.fromCharCode(+match1); }putfunction (whole, match1) { return String.fromCharCode(+match1); } en congfunction (whole, match1) { return String.fromCharCode(+match1); } de l'UMP a function (whole, match1) { return String.fromCharCode(+match1); }gfunction (whole, match1) { return String.fromCharCode(+match1); }nfunction (whole, match1) { return String.fromCharCode(+match1); }, comme d'habitudefunction (whole, match1) { return String.fromCharCode(+match1); } dans les discussions qui ont permis la libfunction (whole, match1) { return String.fromCharCode(+match1); }ration de Florence et Hussein. However, as Dave Winter wrote yesterday (with a useful screenshot), Tiger has an integrated spellchecker that 'aware' applications (such as Safari) can use (you can even choose between several languages). Hope that's of use. Just try to spellcheck a text which contains other characters than ASCII, eg. use accented chars. > I on longer have Panther (and so the 'old' version of Safari), but might > re-install it for tests (if I can easily create a partition). Just do what isn't too much hassle for you ;-) Andi -- DokuWiki mailing list - more info at http://wiki.splitbrain.org/wiki:mailinglist
