As the author of that plugin, I can tell you that it's above and
beyond excellent and highly recommended, and that's my unbiased
opinion.

In all seriousness though, this plugin allows you to make "sidebars"
wherever you please, as many as you want, and they're wiki pages you
can edit.

It requires a little bit of hand coding to place the sidebars where
you want, but that's about it.

It's fairly generic and meant to "just work" when you configure it.
