[dokuwiki] How to update pictures in media?

Hello,
i provide picutres into media of dokuwiki, whithout uploading them
through the web-gui, but just copy them into the appropriate directory.
This works well, until i update a picture, because this did not get
through dokuwiki. The page will show the "old" version of the picture.
How can i tell dokuwiki to create a new thumb of an updated picture?
i use {{pict.png?1024x}} to show it.
