Is http://wiki.splitbrain.org/plugin:indexmenu relevant for what you want to do?
While this plugin does look useful, it doesn't do what I want to do. This plugin actually includes the index's contents inside the page. I just want to add a link to the index.
Thanks again for the suggestion. I may use this in other situations, but not for this one.
