The patch does not change how the hidden option works. It just makes
sure that, when you're in the configuration settings (especially the
ACL setup) the pages will still be listed in automatic page lists.

AFAIR the hidden option does not influence media listings at all. Are
you confusing the hidden option with ACL setups which remove read
permissions from certain pages?

The super admin (or the group configured to be super admin) will
always see all pages in regards to ACL. The hidden option applies to
everybody in the same way: it will hide matching pages from automatic
indexes, the search and RSS feeds. The pages are still accessible,
though. You just need to know how they are named.
