[dokuwiki] Entities in wiki links

Hi all,

I just wondered if it is "by design" that entities (from conf/entities.conf) in 
links are not parsed or is this a bug?
Example: [[.:page| ->read more]] 

Dokuwiki doesn't render -> as &rarr; in this example.
