Another puzzle:
the messages disappeared only for the pages on the root namespace.
Whenever I accessed a page on a sub namespace, they came back!
No markup is used on any page yet. The plugin is installed manually, and I
configurated some rights for a top level page, then for all pages (the
messages
appear only for sub namespaces).
So I tried to configure some rights for a sub namespace: selected one and
hit "select"
I got the message 'getNSdata_htmlOKay is not defined'.
and there was no change of files list for the namespace.

I'm not sure what the source of the problem was. Both the admin and
action modules use the built-in Dokuwiki io_readfile() function to read
in data from the access files in conf/access. io_readfile() first
checks to see if the file exists before attempting to read. That's
what's so puzzling. I will check into this further on the PHP list.
Anyway, I'm glad it's working.
