[dokuwiki] Re: Early end of session with phpBB3 integration

I seem to have narrowed down the problem a bit further in the meanwhile:
Everything works fine before the phpBB3 session ends (usually after 3600 seconds as set by the "Session Length" in the Admin Control Panel), because browsing phpBB3 or the DokuWiki resets the session length timer as expected. So working with DokuWiki alone for several hours is not a problem. 

Things get interesting though when the session expires after the "Session 
Length" is over:
If a phpBB3 forum page is loaded after the session expiry, then - if a cookie was set - the session is renewed and thus resumed seamlessly. The user never gets aware that the session was over in the meanwhile. Therefore, also the DokuWiki session is automatically kept, and browsing DokuWiki pages can be resumed without interruption, i.e. the login is kept.
If however a DokuWiki (instead of a pgpBB3) page is loaded as the first page after session expiry, it seems not to be able to use the existing cookie to re-authenticate for the same seamless session renewal. As a consequence, phpBB3 seems to get confused and thus loading a phpBB3 page next leads to forcible logout there, too.
Well, as said before, I unfortunately don't know how to fix this, I think it's likely that something needs to be changed in http://wiki.splitbrain.org/wiki:tips:integrate_with_phpbb3
