hi mike,

thanks for letting us know how you received Bernd's words.

it's important to recognize that Bernd may have had no
intention of having his words received as arrogant and
dismissive.

a quicker path to understanding would be for you to tell Bernd
that his words didn't meet your need for respect and inclusion.

you could then follow this up immediately with a request for
Bernd to describe in more detail what he was wanting to
express.

this approach would help to keep our dialog focused on the
license issue that Yann brought up rather than temping folks
into a discussion of guessing the motives of each
other--entirely distracting from a license discussion.

that's all from me for today folks--i'm off to squelch some
other miscommunications.

may you all be effective in your communications. and never
forget, we are all doing the best we know how to do in
everything we do--as soon as we know what to do to be more
effective we do it. so have patience with each other.

peace,
david
