[dokuwiki] Disabling syntax

I would like to disable certain parts of the standard DokuWiki syntax.  For
example, I don't want indenting text to automatically result in a code
block, and I don't want any syntax highlighting to be available.  I even
want to look at disabling external links, window shares, images, etc.  I've
looked at the parser, and to be honest, I'm not that great with php so I'm
not sure where to begin.
