I had the same problem in the office with a bulgarian language update. Darcs got stuck with this patch, the only help was to pull the whole repository again. :-(
At home, Darcs complained "Yikes, pending has conflicts!". So I had to reget the whole repository here, too. "darcs repair" told me everything was OK, plus I did not find an error entry in the pending or pending.new files, but since darcs is not DokuWike, there will always be some mysteries ;-)
