[dokuwiki] "Better Navigation" minus sidebar

I really liked the navigation changes that were made in "Better
Navigation" (Thanks Jan) but I'm on the fence on if I need the
sidebar.  Is there an easy way to disable the sidebar in "Better
Navigation"?  An alternative would be to have the sidebar "on" only
for the start/home page or the ability to disable the sidebar on
certain pages.
