From memory, I believe the solution to your problem is to additionally
back up the 'meta' directory which stores meta information on pages.


The meta directory is a subdirectory of the data directory,
so it was included (as was the attic).

Additionally, you'll need to back up the revisions directory, which is
named 'attic', to get older revisions.

Yes. Everything related to the attic seems to work well - the problem
seems to be only with the "current" version from the pages subdirectory.
