This does not appear to be an issue with the default template.
I do not think that this behaviour could be caused by the ACH template.
There is only one occurrence of a "special login thing" apart from those
of the default template. And that involves only the same mechanism that
is used by the default template (if($_SERVER['REMOTE_USER'])) ...
There is nothing else that fiddles with the session.
