Hi,

recently I discovered a bug in DokuWiki and reported it but Andi told
me that's not a bug, it's a feature. And really, I found a passage in
the documentation describing this "feature".

You only have to sign here: [ ] Yes, I support Matthias' suggestion
and we can get rid of this topic fast ;-)

I have no opinion on the subject, but I don't like the wording here. It seems to suggest to use "democracy" to resolve controversial issues. For projects such as this, I believe that would be a mistake.

What *does* work is the model of a Benevolent Dictator For Life (BDFL)
(I come from the Python world.) It works because it permits to resolve
matters quickly and in a satisfactory way to most. It is obvious who the BDFL should be and it is the person with the strongest interest
in the project's success. It is important to keep him/her motivated by
this special status.

Of course, there is nothing against trying to influence the BDFL
by all possible means :-)
