Phil replied: it will be fine.  all you may have done is created a stereo 
wave form, one side of which is silence.  If you have sound Forge and you 
wish to cut that stereo wave file down to a mono file then, you can always 
do that by going into the folder where your audio files are for that project

then, open up the wave file in sound forge, and use the option in the 
process menu to convert a stereo wave file to mono.  Note: when doing this, 
remember to choose the right preset.  I think the one you want, cuts the 
overall volume of the file to 50%.  If you don't have Sound Forge then, 
don't worry about it! smile!
