I am just singing with them its just voice and strings an intro to a CD I'm
working on. So you think that in this case flat would be the way to go? When
I listened to them they didn't sound bad to me but then I thought that there
must be something I could do to give them a little shine.

May the peace of God that passes all understanding guard your heart and mind
in Christ Jesus

God Bless You!

Well, that is very subjective and depends on the kind of material you are
working with and how predominant they will be in the mix. I usually boost
around 6khz about 5 or 6db to get that sparkle if I want that up front 70's
disco string section sound. If you are just doing pads, they probably will
be ok flat. That being said, I don't use the dimension strings much since I

have gpo 4 which is the bomb as they say.
