Hi Neville,

Does GPO 4 work inside Dimension like the Pocket Orchestra?
I'm currently adding the last few softsynths to my collection before getting down to serious work.
Neville I apologise if the next bit of my text sounds condescending as I don't know anything about your musical knowledge. 
Regarding Your strings EQ, is it an original track you are working on?
Sometimes strings may not need EQ but subtle arrangement changes such as,
The chord of C E G may sound to close together when recording Strings, simply because it's a 1st 3rd and 5th so rather than have the E as a third, play the E above making it a 10th. This creates the space that hopefully will give the strings that sparkle.

Where do you get GPO 4?  How accessible is it?  Can you load the VST files
of GPO 4 on a drive other than your system drive?  I have a separate drive
dedicated to my VSTs.  Dimension Pro and all else live there.

Well, that is very subjective and depends on the kind of material you are
working with and how predominant they will be in the mix.  I usually boost
around 6khz about 5 or 6db to get that sparkle if I want that up front 70's disco string section sound. If you are just doing pads, they probably will be ok flat. That being said, I don't use the dimension strings much since I 

have gpo 4 which is the bomb as they say.
