Hi Phil,

I need 16 outputs because I will be routing them to an analogue summing amplifier, which takes the 16 channels and summs them into a stereo track. The summer does this much much better than any DAW can and adds depth, width and definition to a mix.

I too am going to be upgrading my soundcard. Inputs are not so much a problem but I need 16 outputs. So far I am leading towards buying two RME Fireface 800s. Does anyone else use these? They seem to have brilliant reviews but are quite expensive.

How long is a piece of string? Seriously, how many inputs do you need your soundcard to have? Also, there are a ton of mixing concels out there. How many outputs would you like the mixer to have?
