Meaning that I should have stated that you need to go into the MIDI options dialog box, under the options menu in Sonar and check the check box for the FW1884 control MIDI port in the MIDI input and output part of the dialog box. Then, when adding a control surface from within the control surfaces dialog box, choose the FW1884 control MIDI port as the input and output port. Thanks for reminding me Sean, smile! I would delete the Tascam FW1884 control surface. Then, when you add it again in the control surfaces dialog box, set both the input and output ports to the FW1884 control port. When I look in the options, controlers surfaces, I find that the input and out put for the tascam = port not assigned. I tried to assign both input and output but when I looked again at the options the same message is there. What am I doing wrong?
