BlankPhil, when you say pre amps, do you mean external ones besides the actual 
ones within the mixer that I am using?

  Hmm, maybe as your keeping all of your software synthes/samples internal to 
Sonar.  On the other hand, if you had some really hi end pree-amps that you 
could use with your hardware then, you would find that your hardware would 
sound fatter and have more detail too!

    Hello,

    I notice when I use vsts, or samples via the sfz in sonar, I actually get 
fatter, warmer, and louder recordings than when using tracks from an external 
synth like the motif. Is this generally the case, or am I imagining things here.
