[ddots-l] software for speeding up tempo of audio files

Hello,

Is there a good program that is accessible to us for manipulating the tempo of 
an audio file? I'm starting to do remixes of songs, and I'd like to speed up 
the acapella track to a tempo that will fit the new beat I'm creating for the 
song. From my understanding, SoundForge isn't the greatest tool to achieve 
this. Is this correct?
