A question or two: Are you running XP with SP2? Also check to see that you
have the latest drivers. Go to:
www.midiman.com

Go into the Delta control panel and check the settings there. In Sonar,
lower your recording volume. The Delta cards are extremely forgiving. I
am surprised you are getting distortion. Are you able to read your record
and playback meters? I am using Sonar 2.02 with Caketalking, so I am only
able to access the playback meters. With Sonar 3 I believe you are able to
use both.
