Cameron,

Being once a landlord, and if you're on a month-to-month rent contract,
you've got no pull.

If you're set up for a lease then wait until your landlord wants you to
renew the lease and see if you can negotiate then.

Dave

Hi. Yes, I am. It took them a week to fix the problem but now everything
is fine, with the electricity at least.

I am currently working for a video production company writing and recording
music for them. My contract states that I can work fourty hours a week max,
with no overtime and no week to week substitution of hours. As a result of
this electrical issue, I wasn't able to work for a week, so I lost four
hundred dollars in income, which I can't make up. I went to the complex
manager's office today and paid my rent. I also asked if they would take
two hundred dollars off October's rent. That would be half the income I
lost due to the electrical problems. I got blown off basically. I don't
want to push this as I don't want to get on the wrong side of my land lord,
however, I think my request was reasonable and I was willing to compromise.
They aren't willing to do jack to make up for this.

Any suggestions? or am I S O L?

Thanks,

Cameron.
