[ddots-l] questions about sonar 8

Hi,
is it posible to use some features sonar 8 with caketalking 7?
I think about purchasiing sonar.
My problem is, that I dont't wanna buy sonar 7 and caktalking 7 and a few months later caketalking 8 and an upgrade to sonar 8.
