i think it switches to audio when you have audio tracks.
maybe you changed it accidentally on the normal template.

I posted an email yesterday about not being able to record in one of my 
projects. It seems that, for some odd reason, the clock in the projects 
option in some of my files switched from "internal" to "audio." Isn't the 
normal setting suppose to be on "Internal," and if so, why is this changing 
in some of the files?
