I really don't know anything about that. I wish I could be more helpful.

  Gord:

You're right; the problem is with the module. I reinitialized it like 3
times, and i got the message "user memory is damaged." I don't know if you have
any insight into this, but even after I reinitialized it, there is reverb and
flanger in some of the banks and patches that was not there before. The "user
memory is damaged" message stopped appearing after the 3rd time of
reinitializing, but I'm wondering if there is something that needs to be
repaired in the module.

I really don't know. Didn't we have a problem with that module while I was
there? You probably need to select a different performance.

      Gord:

I tried reinitializing the module, and it partially worked. lol, but now,
all the tracks in my midi files have gone wacked. Volumes on some of them sound
crazy, and track 10 where I have the kick is giving me reverb in some of the
other files. Is there a malfunction in the module, or is there now something
stuck in sonar that i have to adjust as a result of all this data mixup?

It sounds like your module needs to be reinitialized. Probably
reception of bank change messages got switched off, or you are stuck in GM mode
or something.

          Hello All:

I haven't any clue as to why this suddenly happened, but my roland
xv5080 module does not seem to be communicating with sonar properly. Neither
banks nor patches will change from within sonar. The instrument names come up
in the menu, but the actual sounds are not changing. All I'm getting is generic
sounds, and whenever I open up an existing file, the instruments I originally
had recorded are no longer there.

Any help would greatly be appreciated.

          Omar Binno
