[ddots-l] pair of soft synth tracks versus Simple Instrument tracks

Hello all,I have read the tutorial for CT 8.5 and I still can?t understand what is the need for inserting the synths as a pair of soft synth tracks, versus just a Simple Instrument track. Can anyone tell me the relevance of these concepts in creating music projects through Sonar?
