One more question: you do have to record the midi tracks to audio before
actually converting to waive or mp3 in the export menu, am I correct on this?

If you mean vocal tracks when you say record audio tracks, then the answer is
no. I record vocals while my hardware synths are still midi tracks.

It doesn't really matter whether you do the hardware synths or softsynths
first. I always like to get the hardware stuff out of the way just because it's
more time-consuming. You don't need to convert any of the tracks as wav or mp3
until you're done mixing/mastering. I don't even freeze a softsynth until I'm
done, because I might decide to change an eq or effect on a particular
instrument. Some of this, though, is preference. So I'm sure you'll get
different approaches to this.

Hello: I am using sonar 6.2. Generally, I use many hardware synths to
create my midi tracks which I convert to audio before actually playing
live
audio tracks and/or recording the vocals. Then I convert the tracks to
waive
or mp3.
Now that I am beginning to use more sof synths I have a question about
the
order in which I should proceed.
E.G. if I create four midi tracks with hardware synths and want to then
create 4 tracks with soft synths, should I first convert my hardware
midi
tracks to audio before recording the soft synths and then use the
bounce to
track command to convert the soft synths tracks? Must I do this before
actually recording my live audio tracks such as guitar or horns or
vocals?
Alternatively, can I create my midi tracks from the hardware synths,
record
my soft synths and then convert midi to audio followed by the bounce to
track command?
Finally, and I'll stop after this one, is it possible for me to leave
the
softsynths tracks alone until actually mixing down to waive or MP3?
Sorry for this long post. Any help would be appreciated.
