[ddots-l] nudgin and cuttin

First. I love the nudging keystrokes: Insert Control num 1,4,7 and 3,6,9!
Second: can anyone tell me if there is a better way to cut all the needless empty space at the end of tracks to clean up the project. as it is now, I set the from time where I want the project to end and then set the through time to as far right as the very end. Then I select all and then delete. It seems to work well but I am not sure if this is the best way.
