Ok, I want to connect my midi controller to the audio interface via a midi
cable. The controller I have connects to the comp via USB. I want to find a
midi controller keyboard that connects to the computer via a midi cable. I
hope that's clear finally.

Midi is just digital info, a bunch of 0's and 1's. it is not a form of
connecting things. You want USB, firewire, serial or parallel forms of
connecting things.
