[ddots-l] Re: music by e-mail

Hi Berhane,

Here's just an outline of what I'd do:

1. If your friend already has Sonar3 or higher, and if your file is just =
midi and fairly small, you can save your sonar file to a folder where you=
 know you can find it. For instance, I keep a folder called c:\a and put =
anything I want to mail or work on there, so when it comes time to email =
it and I'm asked for the file name I just type in c:\a\MyMusic.cwp and pr=
ess enter.

2. If your file is larger, and involves audio tracks, you'll want to mix =
it down to audio and convert it to mp3 which will make it small enough to=
 email.  This is a process I do not have much experience with, so someone=
 will have to chime in here.  Save this mp3 file to an accessible place, =
as in step 1.

3. Write your message to your friend, but don't send it yet.

4.  While in your message, attach your file. You'll have to know what key=
s you press in your email program to do this. In Outlook or Outlook expre=
ss, I press alt i and just press enter because the first choice is file. =
 This is where I then type in the drive, path, and file name I wrote abou=
t above.

Wait a bit because this process may take some time.  Now press your messa=
ge send keys. =20

Give or take a step or so,That should do it.
