Band in a Box has some capability to do this, but it's really hard for any
algorithm to figure out polyphonic sounds and correctly break them apart into
discrete instruments and multiple-fingerings, such as chords.
If you have a simple single instrument track with no chords, it is possible,
and there may even be a plug-in for Sonar to do it.
