Hi John,

You don't need a vst adapter for cakewalk any more if you use sonar 6. Sonar 4
still has one, but sonar 6 handles vst plug ins on its own.

I have both sonar 4 and 6.2 installed. When I look for the cakewalk vst
adapter I find that I only have the cakewalk vst adapter 4. There doesn't seem
to be one for cakewalk 6. Is this normal and will the cakewalk vst adapter for
sonar 4 work as well? Alternatively, did I fail to install the sonar 6.2
cakewalk vst adapter? If the cakewalk vst adapter for 6.2 is necessary, how can
I get the sonar 6 cakewalk adapter? ---
Thanks in advance. John Fioravanti -- Original Message -----

Must I use the separate directixer program to install hypersonic or does
cakewalk 6 have a vst plug-in program?

It's really pretty straight forward, once you have installed it and
downloaded the license into the dongle. When you insert it as a soft synth you
can change patches and banks right from the sonar track properties dialog. Of
course, you'll need to scan your vst plug for it before you can use it. I
just got it and it's really a good all-purpose soft-synth/sample library. I'm
particlularly surprised at how good the grand piano sounds, and some of the
electric basses are very good too. Of course some things fall short, like the
brass and strings, which are only average.
