[ddots-l] Re: midi files

Most GM files you download have patch change events inserted into them on
each track. You'll either need to go into the event list and delete them,
or you can use the select by filter dialog and just select patch changes and
then delete them.

Ok I figured it out, but now I have another issue. When I select the patch
and bank of the instruments, they don't stay when I hit play. They go to
some kind of default setting. How do I get the instruments (drums for
example) to stay at the sounds that I choose?

Thanks.

Hi Everybody:

I've downloaded some standard midi files from the net and am trying to open
them in sonar. I made sure that the extention to the file is .mid. It's not
allowing me to open it, and i'm getting the message "not a Cakewalk format."
Any suggestions?

Thanks.
