Subject: [ddots-l] m audio fasttrack ultra and windows 7
Hello listers.
I have problems with the soundcard.
It's a brand new computer, windows 7 premium 32 bit edition, 4 cores 8 gb
ram.
The cd wouldn't install drivers.
I went to m-audio drivers page, found the driver and after installing the
executable, my soundcard was coming up as "this device can not start, error
code 10" and had an exclamation point in device manager.
Got passed this point by connecting m-audio fast track ultra in one of the
front USB ports of the computer.
Now it works but whenever sonar plays any sound, or even when I tried jaws
speaking through it, I get clicks and pops.
I used sighted help and went in the m-audio control panel, maxed sampling
rates and buffers and still the same.
What do I do next?
Can I make it work or do I need to replace the soundcard?
Regards, Nick
