Hi Rinn:
I believe that before using control Q to quantize, you need to have something recorded already. So, record your midi track, then select the whole track with alt-enter, or part of the track with F9 and F10 plus control-enter. After the track or a section of a track has been selected, then you can use the control-Q command for quantizing. If, on the other hand, you want to set your quantizing value before recording, instead of using the control-q command, you need to first go to the quantize column in your midi track and turn it on. Then, you go to the next column to select your quantizing value. After that, you can record and the notes will be adjusted according to your quantizing settings.
I hope that is helpful.

Hey Gord,

I mastered the F9/F10 function for looping but the "Control enter" hotkey does nothing for me... nor does the "Control Q"... What am I doing wrong?

Have you set a from and through with f9 and f10 and then selected the track you want to quntize with control enter?

Bryan,

I have been following the direction word for word but for some reason
Control + Q, makes nothing happen.

and I think that I'm not doing the loop function correctly. What exactly
should I do to loop 16 bars?
