Yep it's definitely still available and yes, it's for reading print.
It all depends what you want though. You might be fine with a
third-party off the shelf OCR program like Omnipage or FineReader,
instead of a more pricy blind-specific program like K1000 or
Freedom Scientific's Openbook.
